Klara Kristalova: Lust for Life
Galerie Rudolfinum proudly presents the first institutional solo exhibition for Klara Kristalova in the country of her birth. This exhibition brings her works directly from the prestigious Venice Biennale, where Kristalova has represented her adopted nation of Sweden, to confirm her position as the leading contemporary artist of the Czech diaspora.
Through playful and unsettling sculptures, paintings and drawings, Klara Kristalova: Lust for Life explores the key themes in the artist’s work: the roles we play and masks we wear – and the primal forces behind them – the intermingling of nature and fairy tale, and fluctuating ideas of identity in our past and present.
