Welcome to a 100-minute journey of discovery about what music teaches us in the silence between the notes.
The gatherings lead to the concert A Musical Holiday among the Notes, to which you are invited on 25 Apr. 2026 at 3 p.m. in Dvořák Hall.
"Music is as much a beautiful adornment of our lives as it is an important means of communication between people. It shows us how to find beauty among difficulties, and calm and equilibrium in making our every-day decisions. It teaches us how to support children and young people on their sometimes difficult path to adulthood or to learning. We have seen this from the last three years of work in schools, in families, during workshops, and in performances."
This is what we are told by Ondřej Tichý, the soul of our musical gatherings at the Rudolfinum.
Our seventh season will be open to all who want to let music speak to them and move them. Age does not matter. It is beautiful, powerful, and special to bring different generations together. Just like the hormonious world of music that we all create together. Giving a helping hand - or mainly a helping note - in our group efforts are the musicians of the Czech Philharmonic, the Czech Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and their musical friends. Come take part in making music resound, or just listen quietly and experience the depth of the present moment.
The seats in Suk Hall are not numbered; arrangements may be changed.
The programme is based on a musical part but also on a spoken word that will be given in Czech language only. The programme will not be supplied with English subtitles.
