Noemi Purkrábková (BCAA system)

The Prague-based polyfunctional collective BCAA system has been walking the blurred line between contemporary alternative music, visual art and theory since 2017. Their multimedia projects – ranging from various forms of moving image art to online and offline gaming environments, exhibition activities, music releases and live performances – are always collective works and are therefore not presented under the individual names of the members. BCAA system has presented solo exhibitions such as Right from Here Everything is Flickering at Prague’s City Surfer Gallery (2018), Right From Here Everything Is Flickering II at In de Ruimte, Ghent, Belgium (2018), No Blade of Grass (as part of the 34th Biennale of Graphic Arts in Ljubljana, 2021) and Fortify the Lobby at Prague’s Display Gallery (2023). Their participation in group shows includes Tutorial (BSMNT, Leipzig, 2020), Imagine a Breath of Fresh Air (Galeria Studio, Warsaw, 2023) and Only Transitions and Translations (MeetFactory, 2023). In addition, the collective creates various interventions and projects outside of standard gallery spaces, such as the exhibition / game environment Deep Down You Know to Watch Your Step (PAF Olomouc, 2020) or the outdoor intervention The Password is Garden in the gardens of the Břevnov Monastery surrounding Entrance Gallery.
