Czech Chamber Music Society ⬩ Martinů Quartet
The Martinů Quartet is another regular guest of the Czech Chamber Music Society. The ensemble, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, will present a masterful interpretation of Bohuslav Martinů’s String Quartet No. 2 and a work by the father of the genre, Joseph Haydn. A critic wrote that the Martinů Quartet offers “sonic beauty times four”, but this time the multiplication factor will be six thanks to guest appearances by Michal Kaňka and Zbyněk Paďourek.
